Licensed for personal and home use only.  Any screening of the DVD outside the home is prohibited.

Non-Profit Organizations and Community Groups: $89
Licensed for non-profit organizations and community groups. The license allows for unlimited free screenings at one location only and for in-house organizational use.  If you wish to screen the film in multiple locations, a license is required for each location. If you wish to charge admission or accept donations at your screening, please contact Cintia Cabib for pricing.

Public Libraries: $89
Licensed for use in a public library.  Includes public performance rights at one location where no admission is charged.

K-12 Schools: $89
Licensed for classroom use in K-12 schools and for the school’s lending library.

Colleges, Universities, Government Agencies, and Businesses: $295
Licensed for classroom use and free on-campus screenings in a college or university, for use in the institution’s lending library, and for in-house use and for in-house use and free screenings by government agencies and businesses at one location and for educational purposes only.  If an educational institution wishes to purchase a Digital Site License (DSL), see the options below.

Digital Site License (DSL): $500
A Digital Site License (DSL) allows educational institutions to host and stream Kindred Spirits to authorized users over a secure password-protected server.  A digital file and a closed-captioned file are provided for the life of the file format.  There is a $6.00 handling fee per digital site license for file delivery. Please read the Digital Site License Terms and Conditions.

Digital Site License (DSL), plus DVD: $600
Institutions may purchase both the Digital Site License and the DVD. Licensing terms for the Digital Site License and the DVD apply to this purchase.

Additional Licenses

Order Online

Pay by credit card using PayPal. You do not need to have a PayPal account to order. Please note the shipping and handling fees below.

Purchase Orders

Only educational institutions, libraries, and government agencies may submit a purchase order. All others must order online with a credit card or pre-pay with a check or money order using the order form. To purchase the DVD or Digital Site License with a purchase order, you must mail or e-mail an authorized purchase order to the address above or cintia (at) cintiacabib (dot) com with the contact information for your accounting or purchase order department.

Sales Tax

Maryland residents are charged 6 percent sales tax. If your organization is located in Maryland and is tax-exempt, please provide documentation with your tax-exempt number.

United States Shipping

There is a $6.00 shipping and handling fee for the first DVD and $2.00 for each additional DVD per order.

Canada and International Shipping

There is a $15.00 shipping and handling fee for the first DVD and $5.00 for each additional DVD per order. The customer is responsible for all customs fees, taxes and duties.

Returns Policy

All purchases are final, except in the case of a damaged disc, which will be replaced after the damaged disc is returned. Damaged discs must be returned within 14 days of purchase.

Public Performance Rights

A public performance is any showing of the DVD which occurs outside the home, such as in a school, library, or community center. The public performance license is for unlimited non-theatrical, non-commercial, non-broadcast, single-site use via direct projection only. Admission may not be charged.

Rights and Restrictions

Kindred Spirits: Artists Hilda Wilkinson Brown and Lilian Thomas Burwell is fully protected by U.S. copyright laws. Kindred Spirits may not be duplicated, reproduced, digitized, altered or transferred to any other medium or format. It may not be broadcast, transmitted by cable, closed-circuit television, satellite or on any multi-receiver system. Kindred Spirits may not be shown on the Internet. With the exception of public libraries lending programs to their authorized cardholders and schools lending programs to students, the customer shall not sublicense, sublease, rent, sell or otherwise part with the possession of the DVD Kindred Spirits.
